Students - How to Get Involved - Independent Dancers

Every year, a predetermined number of dancer spots are awarded to independent dancer couples. Dancers are chosen through a weighted lottery, with chances determined by the amount of money that you and your dancing partner raise during the year.

Are you interested in dancing independently? Please review to following checklist to make sure you do everything to increase your chances!

• Find a friend who will be your independent dancing partner
• Visit the THON Office, 210 HUB, to register you and your partner, learn more about safe and successful fundraising practices, and ask any questions that you have
• Fundraise by canning, writing letters to family members and friends, and soliciting small businesses and corporations
• Bring all of the money that you raise to the THON Office
• Register in the independent dancer lottery.
