THON 2011 is tomorrow!

Dear Recipient Name On the average, 12,500 children and adolescents in the U.S. are diagnosed with cancer each year. This year, I am making a difference in the lives of children battling cancer through my continued involvement with (Organization Name) and the Penn State IFC/Panhellenic Dance Marathon, more commonly known as THON.  THON is a yearlong fundraising effort that culminates in February with a two day, no sitting, no sleeping dance marathon.  Every year Penn State students and alumni come together with one goal in mind, conquering childhood cancer.  Since 1977, THON has partnered with The Four Diamonds Fund at Penn State Children’s Hospital.  THON’s support allows The Fund to provide innovative cancer research and offset the cost of treatment that insurance does not cover, including travel, housing and food expenses. Last year we raised a record breaking $7.83 million to conquer childhood cancer, making THON the largest student-run philanthropy in the world.
